For me, the bar by which I measure any MC romance is set by Jordan Marie. Her writing always blows me away with the sheer intensity of emotion and the dramatic plots. Jordan Marie’s talent as an author truly shines in these types of stories, and it’s because her creativity in them is unparalleled. A gifted storyteller, she has this innate, natural ability for telling difficult, powerful and gripping stories, and she draws her readers into them with vividly portrayed, richly developed and dynamic plots. Her bikers are hardened, complex alpha males, who are fiercely loyal and love hard, play harder and don’t blink before moving to protect their own. She pairs them with strong, resilient, independent women who have survived their own hardships and are able to stand strong in the face of whatever adversity Jordan puts in their path to happily ever after. While they’re definitely beautiful love stories in their own right, these are not sweet and romantic tales. This kind of love is hard fought and harder won, with mountains of tumultuous emotions that are just as harrowing as whatever danger there is in the story for the couple to overcome.

Diesel is the first book in the Love and War duet, a romantic saga within Jordan Marie’s Savage Brothers MC—Tennessee Chapter series. That book ended at a particularly tense moment in the story, and Rory picks up the couple’s journey. I’m not going to go into any detail at all about the plot because anything I say would be a spoiler, and this is the kind of story that a reader really needs to go into blind so they can experience the full impact of the unfolding story exactly as the author intends. All I will say is that, in true Jordan Marie style, the Love and War duet was gritty, raw and intense. It was an emotional rollercoaster of dramatic highs and misery-laden lows punctuated by heartbreaking twists and spine-tingling turns. Both Diesel and Rory’s backstories are steeped with evil, manipulation and betrayal. This love story was shocking, hair-raising, and at times, even frustrating, and it left me completely gutted at times. But passion—in every sense of the word—overflowed from these pages, and I honestly couldn’t read fast enough. Rory and Diesel’s love story was a collision of emotion, lust, desperation and redemption, and it was an absolutely riveting, thoroughly exhilarating and heart-pounding tale.

While some readers may not like the idea of a story told over two parts, having read both books now, I firmly believe that anything less would not have done these characters or their story justice. This was the type of story where I was either at the edge-of-my-seat or up and pacing the floor, Kindle in hand, as I read it. I was anxious, I was excited, I got chills, I fell in love and I ran through the entire gauntlet of my emotions as I’m sure was the author’s plan all along. Jordan Marie did what she does best and sent me on a trip through the emotional wringer before piecing me back together again, and I loved every single moment of it. A stand out for 2018, the Love and War Duet easily earns a spot on my top favorites list for the year. Five stars from me for Rory by Jordan Marie!

This eagerly awaited second book certainly didn’t disappoint, it goes straight into the story from where it left off in Diesel.

Rory and Ryan, both at the hands of the evil (and yes I know this is sort of cliche but it’s also so true!) King, Rory’s brother, are both desperate but we do know they escape! I am not saying any more for fear of giving away too much!

Firstly, I have to say that when this author creates a ‘bad’ character she really knows her stuff! Oh boy is King an absolute monster of a character, so much so it’s hard to politely describe him! I can say that the character development is so intense that it certainly makes you want to do something drastic to him as you find yourself becoming more and more entrenched in the story. Wolf is an other evil monster we meet again!

Secondly, the ‘good’ characters are equally as enticing and you also become fully embedded in their well being and outcome. A sure sign if excellent writing. Rory is a beautiful person inside and out and such a nurturing mother to Ryan, showing that you don’t have to be the biological parent to accept and fulfill that role well. There are definitely no wish washy characters in this story and for that I am truly thankful as this story deserves only the best.

Even though this is a book of action and drama where things often get heavy and at times can be heart breaking, there is a good balance of humour. The banter between characters is fun, oh poor Gunner! 😂 as well there is passion that is red hot but deep and loving at the same time.

A sensational second half half, together Rory and Diesel make one amazing story I totally recommend to everyone.
When it comes to you, I’ll never be done.
I’ll always keep trying, I don’t have a choice.
Without you, nothing else matters...

Rory is book 2 in the Love and War Duet, (Diesel is book1) and is book 3 in the Savage MC- Tennessee Chapter.

This book is such a beautiful, emotionally filled, amazing read.
I had a feeling before starting this book that is was going to create Chaos and Havoc in me emotionally and physically. That after reading this I was going to have to take a step back and try and absorb what I had just read, to come back to reality because it was going to be so good that it was going to consume me and I was correct.

My goodness, I wasn't even half way through the book and was i crying.. A LOT!
Rory suffered so much pain and heartache, what she went through was devastating. But the Love and Loyalty she had for Ryan and Noah kept this strong and beautiful woman going. She pushed until she was able to protect those she loved and herself.

Noah (Diesel) also suffered through so much but was determined to come back to his family, to claim those he considered his. The love and loyalty he had for his son, his woman, his MC, his family made you hope he got everything his heart desired because he deserved it.

Both Rory and Diesel were filled with so much strength, love and fire. They each had a different war to fight, and fight they did.

Then there is Ryan. That little boy melted my heart. The love he had for Noah, Rory, his Uncles, and his family. The way he believed in them All and the confidence he had in his dad made him one of my all time favorites... I really hope he someday gets his own book. That would make me so happy!

Jordan Marie has done a truly wonderful job with this book, with both books. Reading them had my crazy emotions scattered everywhere!

This duet are my new favorite reads of 2018. EVERYONE needs to read these two books! You will be so glad you did.
